A (very) belated 'Happy New Year' post & update!

Hello everyone and 'Happy New Year' (ish)!

I want to start by apologising for completely slipping in my blogging activity since the end of last year, I can't believe I've not posted here since November! I also wanted to say a mega, mega huge thank you to those of you who have still been checking back here and there as I've noticed my hit counter repeatedly creeping up even though I've been totally inactive - I'll be making your extreme patience worth your while with lots of new posts soon!

Shannon Swift X Little Wing for Cynical Fashion Magazine Issue #10

So if you read my previous post a few months back (you can read it HERE if not), you'll know I'm now sponsored by the wonderfully talented (and generally fab all around!) lady, Shannon Swift as well as the gorgeous Little Wing, handmade jewellery and I was lucky enough to kick start the year with an exciting collaboration with both of my newest sponsors.

I've shot with Shannon a couple of times now and we're currently in the process of arranging our third shoot together (if my ridiculously busy diary allows it!). Our previous shoots have gone SO well that they've also both been used for publication so fingers crossed our next shoot goes just as well!

Little One Wears...

As mentioned in my last Little One Wears post (you can read it here!) I'm trying to post more ootd/wiwt posts. As I've now managed to track down the long lost charger to my dslr I mentioned losing in a previous post, I'm finally able to post a second - much better quality - installment!

With one of my favourite films Clueless turning ten years old this year and the recent start of another school year for some of you, I thought it was only right to donne the plaid for my most recent look, 'Clueless'.

High Street Budget Beauty Haul

I've never been particularly good at keeping up with any kind of skincare routine for as long as I can remember and for the past few years I've relied on makeup remover wipes and a Soap and Glory body scrub to get my face through life (Oops!) After turning 25 earlier this year I decided to treat myself to a very tiny budget beauty shop to try and find something that works well for me that I can keep up with (I am a grown up now after all!) and also a few makeup products from a fairly new, award winning animal testing-free makeup line (well, just because really!)

A few weeks back I had the absolute pleasure of reuniting with the lovely Monika to shoot some beautiful harnesses for my gorgeous friend and fabulous sponsor Kat of Twilight Siren. I adore these two talented ladies so much and the magic we make when we work together!

Little One Wears:

So I've been meaning to start posting more ootd/wiwt fashion posts and finally got round to photographing/filming my very first one a couple of weeks ago with help from my good friend and co-worker Kiah!

As mentioned in my last post (you can read it here!) I've been sans charger for my good camera so had to make do with my little snapshot camera on this occasion! Apologies for the poor quality, mainly in the video, I now have my charger back (yay!) so the next few posts will be back to their usual awesome quality!

Silver Linings

So I've had a horrific cellulitis infection in my leg leaving me essentially stuck in bed unable to do anything for the past week! For those that aren't sure, cellulitis is an infection that affects the layers of your skin forming horrible rashes, skin discolouration, swelling and scabs. It's completely unrelated to cellulite and was so, so, so painful that I've been doped up on codeine almost constantly to deal with it! I counted up and through two courses of antibiotics, codeine and antihistamines I've been on around 21 tablets a day in total over the past week to help get me through the whole ordeal! 

General Update

So if you follow me elsewhere you'll probably have noticed that my twitter and Instagram have been particularly busy lately but other than that I've not really been posting a lot anywhere else!

Little Wing Goodies

If you read my recent post giving you a behind-the-scenes sneak peak of my shoot with my lovely sponsor Shannon Swift (you can read it here if not) you'll know I was lucky enough to receive a tonne of goodies to play with from the beautiful and talented Abbie of 'Little Wing' to shoot too!

Sadly we didn't get to incorporate every piece into the shoot so I thought I'd share the contents of my beautiful little parcel with you all this way instead! I'll hopefully be shooting some more with these soon so each piece get it's time to shine, but for now, here's a little overview of what I received!

After having my hair dyed the previous day I returned to Birmingham again ready to shoot with the fabulous team at James Bushell! This time I chose to travel from Nuneaton as it made the journey shorter and meant I got to see my parents for a couple of days!

BTS : Shooting with Shannon Swift

Today I had the pleasure of shooting with my fabulous new sponsor, Shannon Swift!

 The lovely Shannon and her boyfriend Dan, who assisted on the shoot, drove over from Nottingham to Leicester this morning to shoot a few sets around my home then we headed out on location for a few more looks before the rain and cold drove us back inside. All hair and makeup was done by me and styling was a joint effort between Shannon and myself.
